About Mary
Living passionately as a student, teacher, healer, writer and architect, Mary has been engaged in the path of yoga since 1991 when her heart was first set aflame by the magic of the practice. Blessed to have studied with some of the most inspiring and knowledgeable teachers to whom she is continually grateful, she has completed trainings in Anusara, Ashtanga, vinyasa flow, and yoga therapeutics. Her teaching is further enhanced by her studies in tantric philosophy, meditation, kirtan, sanskrit, and energy healing. Mary’s classes are informed by her depth of study and infused with creativity and playfulness. She guides her students through challenging and rejuvenating classes to tune and nurture the body, ultimately dedicated to freeing the mind and unleashing the spirit. She intertwines breath with alignment and a deep connection to spirit to allow her students to rediscover their innate brilliance.
Also an accomplished architect, Mary specializes in creating sacred space for everyday living. She works closely with clients on residential and yoga studio projects to integrate form and function resulting in beautiful uplifting spaces. Her designs are based on inherent laws of nature that honor the sacredness of the earth and the health and welfare of her clients.
Mary lives in the beautiful Riviera Nayarit of Mexico and teaches both public and private classes in Sayulita, San Pancho, and Punta Mita. She also leads workshops and retreats in the area. Forever a student, she inspires others with a sense of wonder for all that life has to offer. Mary welcomes you to step into the practice with her and discover for yourself the magic, grace, and freedom that awaits along the path of yoga.
I humbly bow in gratitude to the amazing teachers who have and continue to inspire me including
John Friend, Amy Ippoliti, Jeanie Manchester, Cindy Lusk,
Richad Freeman, Douglas Brooks, Jai Uttal, Shive Rea,
and all of my students.
Gracias a todos.
